About us

The research focus of our institute resides on angiogenesis with special emphasis of the lymphatic vascular system.

We study the development of blood vessels and lymphatics in embryonic models (avian embryos, mouse embryos) with morphological and molecular techniques, and search for molecules and mechanisms that cause vascular malformations.

In xenograft models we study tumor-induced angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis and their relation to the metastatic dissemination of the tumors, using human tumor cells of both adult and pediatric tumors.
