Welcome to the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology
The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology consists of two research units:
- The Stem Cell Biology unit is located at the:
Ernst-Caspari-Haus, Göttingen Center of Molecular Biosciences (GZMB), Justus-von-Liebig-Weg 11, 37077 Göttingen, Germany
and is led by Prof. Dr. Andreas Wodarz.
Main research topics of the unit are cell polarity and asymmetric division of neural stem cells, epithelial cell polarity and planar cell polarity controlled by the Wnt signaling pathway. - The Angiogenesis unit of the department is located at the:
Center of Anatomy, Kreuzbergring 36, 37075 Göttingen, Germany
and is led by Prof. Dr. Jörg Wilting.
Main research topics of the unit are the formation and differentiation of the blood-vascular and the lymphatic systems in embryonic development and disease.
